Cardiff is a perfect university city for students of all ages. Its modest size allows everyone to visit places of interest within a few minutes by public transport or a leisurely walk. Cardiff has recently been described as one of the most liveable cities in the United Kingdom, both because the cost of living is significantly lower than in many other cities and because it offers the opportunity to spend quality time outdoors but also to take part in interesting cultural activities. From art to sport, from good food to music, there is always something interesting to do and see in Cardiff.
Celtic English Academy has been offering English language courses to international students since 2004. The school is recognised and accredited by the British Council, IALC, Quality English, English UK. Celtic is located a short distance from Cardiff city centre, the pedestrian area and the famous Castle. At the school you will be able to meet students from all over the world and participate in cultural and nature-based leisure activities during free hours.
Host families can be of different types, not only traditional. There might be single parents, parents with grown-up children living away from home, LGBT+ couples. In some cases you might be in a family with a fellow student or with other students of other nationalities, in other cases you might be the only student in the family.
You can choose to work in chiarity shops and thus assist the shop manager, set up shop windows, take inventory, display products and deal with customers, or you can choose to work in event organisation and fundraising, in the back office and in the social media field creating content and editorial plan.

The price is valid for a group of at least 15 participants and includes the payment of a fee to be donated to the association where the students will be working.

The fee is guaranteed for a minimum of 15 participants registered by 01 June 2023. If the minimum number is not reached, the fee will have to be adjusted to the number of actual participants and you will have the choice of confirming your participation under the new conditions or cancelling your registration.
